Office 365: How to View the Data Location of the Tenant?

Requirement: View the data storage location of a Microsoft 365 Tenant.

View the Data Location of the Microsoft 365 Tenant

For a compliance requirement, we had to find out the Office 365 data storage geographic location. Here is how to get the Office 365 tenant location:

  1. Login to Microsoft 365 Admin Center: https://admin.microsoft.com/
  2. Click on “Settings” >> Org Settings in the left navigation.
  3. Click on the “Organization Profile” tab >> Click on “Data Location”.

This gets you the data storage geolocation of your tenant.

  • When I log and go to Organization Profile, data location is not an option for me. I verified in Azure that I do have roles assigned to my user that grant tenant admin access. Any ideas as to why I would not see it? Thanks!
